The EIPG Environmental Sustainability Position Paper was officially approved and released during the 60th General Assembly of the European Industrial Pharmacists Group in Lisbon (May 16th-17th).
This paper reflects EIPG’s commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility and the future resilience of the pharmaceutical sector. It highlights the importance of reducing environmental impact across pharmaceutical operations and supply chains while supporting innovation, patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Environmental sustainability is becoming an increasingly important strategic topic for the pharmaceutical industry, and industrial pharmacists have an important role in supporting responsible and practical implementation across the healthcare ecosystem.
